Twitters terms of service

Twitter’s Terms of Service

TwitterI’m going to highlight Twitters terms of service for September 10, 2020.

I really recommend you install this extension so you can see whenever a site changes their terms of service and what parts of it are of some concern, and which parts are dangerous.

If you think Twitter is any better than Facebook, think again. Of course as I’ve been saying for a while now, all of these social media sites are controlled by the government and the evils. At first I didn’t think they were until I read this book.

Here they are, and I only listed the dangerous ones…

  • Very broad copyright license on your content Discussion
The copyright license is very broad with almost no limitations, which goes beyond the requirements to run the service. It includes right for Twitter to license to others (“sublicense”).
  • Third party cookies Discussion
  • Twitter uses third-party services that may collect your information, using cookies for instance. Twitter uses Google Analytics.
  • This service ignores the Do Not Track (DNT) header and tracks users anyway even if they set this header. Discussion The Privacy Policy states “We do not support the Do Not Track browser option.”
  • The service can delete your account without prior notice and without a reason Discussion Generated through the annotate view
  • This service reserves the right to disclose your personal information without notifying you Discussion Generated through the annotate view
  • The service can sell or otherwise transfer your personal data as part of a bankruptcy proceeding or other type of financial transaction. Discussion Generated through the annotate view
