Right after World War I, the corporations started to get nervous that there would be too many products developed and people wouldn’t buy enough to keep the cycle of capitalism growing.
They devised a plan to get Americans buying even if they didn’t need the things they were buying. Even Sigmund Freud’s nephew played a role in coming up with a way to brainwash Americans to get them to BUY.
