URGENT SB 577 Manual Therapies under threat!
I felt this was important to send to everyone because it will affect so many of us. They are voting on this tomorrow (Thursday).

This directly affects the work of Cranial Sacral Therapists and questionably affects other manual practitioners who may practice such as:
Osteopathic Manual Practitioners
Cranial Sacral Therapists
Indian Head Massage
Swedish Movements
Reflexologists
Zone Therapists
Reiki Practitioners
Rolfing therapy
Naprapathy
And others.
Ab 1703 was introduced and effectually amends SB 577s(2053.5) chapter in California Code (Medical Practice Act and does the following:
1. Bars unlicensed persons working under SB 577 from using the terms “Osteopath” and “DO” as the licensees of the Osteopathic Medical Board of California. This also eliminates legally practicing “Manual Osteopaths” in California.
2. Creates a definition for the touch based therapy “Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment”(OMT) and very broadly defines it as a “therapeutic application of manually guided forces to alleviate somatic dysfunction.”
Manual therapies practiced under SB 577 of all types, could be defined as such, and become questionable act.

The CNA has written in as opposed unless this bill is amended to clarify that manual therapies are not defined as OMT under the new bill if it becomes law.
We will also request Reflexologists to write in as their work may be seen as alleviating “somatic dysfunction”.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows: SECTION 1.Section 2053.5 of the Business and Professions Code is amended to read:2053.5.
(a)Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a person who complies with the requirements of Section 2053.6 shall not be in violation of Section 2051 or 2052 unless that person does any of the following:
(1)Conducts surgery or any other procedure on another person that punctures the skin or harmfully invades the body.
(2)Administers or prescribes X-ray radiation to another person.
(3)Prescribes or administers legend drugs or controlled substances to another person.
(4)Recommends the discontinuance of legend drugs or controlled substances prescribed by an appropriately licensed practitioner.
(5)Willfully diagnoses and treats a physical or mental condition of any person under circumstances or conditions that cause or create a risk of great bodily harm, serious physical or mental illness, or death.
(6)Sets fractures.
(7)Treats lacerations or abrasions through electrotherapy.
(8)Provides osteopathic manipulative treatment. For purposes of this paragraph, osteopathic manipulative treatment means the therapeutic application of manually guided forces to alleviate somatic dysfunction.

(9)Holds out, states, indicates, advertises, or implies to a client or prospective client that he or she is they are a physician, a surgeon, or a physician and surgeon.
(b)A person who advertises any services that are not unlawful under Section 2051 or 2052 pursuant to subdivision (a) shall disclose in the advertisement that he or she is they are not licensed by the state as a healing arts practitioner.
SEC. 2.Section 2453.3 is added to the Business and Professions Code, to read:2453.3.
(a)A person who is not licensed by the board shall not use the word osteopath, use the phrase doctor of osteopathy, use the initials D.O., or indicate or imply that they are a licensed osteopath, licensed doctor of osteopathy, or licensed physician and surgeon when offering or providing a service to treat a medical or physical condition.
(b)A person who violates subdivision (a) is guilty of a misdemeanor.
SEC. 3.
No reimbursement is required by this act pursuant to Section 6 of Article XIIIB of the California Constitution because the only costs that may be incurred by a local agency or school district will be incurred because this act creates a new crime or infraction, eliminates a crime or infraction, or changes the penalty for a crime or infraction, within the meaning of Section 17556 of the Government Code, or changes the definition of a crime within the meaning of Section 6 of Article XIIIB of the California Constitution.
SECTION 1.Section 145 of the Business and Professions Code is amended to read:145.The Legislature finds and declares that:(a)Unlicensed activity in any of the professions and vocations regulated by the Department of Consumer Affairs is a threat to the health, welfare, and safety of the people of the State of California.(b)The law enforcement agencies of the state should have sufficient, effective, and responsible means available to enforce the licensing laws of the state.(c)The criminal sanction for unlicensed activity should be swift, effective, appropriate, and create a strong incentive to obtain a license.

It’s our negative energy they feed off of. So long as we aren’t United and Strong, they can control us. We need to be United and Strong and FIGHT BACK by taking ACTION, NOT just accept what is going on. This is NOT a movie!!!
Both parts have to be done AND people have to STOP WORSHIPING MONEY.
The evils use money as a WEAPON. Money shouldn’t be used to judge others by their WORTH. Anyone who thinks this way is controlled by the evils and is harming Humanity. Yes we need it in THEIR system, so that’s why you need to break FREE from their evil MATRIX.
This war can ONLY BE WON BY US, not some deity or individual Human. That’s where the psyop religion comes in – SALVATIONISM.
They want you to NEVER grow up and fight them. They want you waiting for someone or something ELSE to save you so they have free reign to kill us while you wait, wait again, wait some more until YOU ARE DEAD.
There’s NO SHAME in admitting you have issues. WE ALL DO.
It’s when you don’t care and don’t work to rid yourself of them (this doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a work in progress) that I have a problem with that because you refusing to not do the work affects ALL of us, not just YOU.
